FE-1 examinations

Evening FE-1 classes, taught live by a barrister

Small-group preparation for the Law Society of Ireland's Final Examination, First Part. One hour a week with Rody O'Brien, who has prepared FE-1 candidates since 2015 and set and marked law exams for twenty years.

Takes two minutes. No payment and no commitment.

  • Company, Contract, Criminal and Tort
  • Watch on any device, as often as you like
  • A good partner to the evening classes

Evening FE-1 classes

Built around working professionals

One hour, one evening a week, with Rody, for the March 2027 sitting.

  • You work full time. Keep your job and still be taught every week by the same tutor.
  • You fell behind on recorded lectures. Every class is live: Rody teaches, you ask, you get the answer there and then.
  • You are resitting a subject. Come back to it with a tutor who has taught every FE-1 subject since 2015.

Subjects run where there is enough demand. Register your interest and we will email you once your class is confirmed. Law Society exam fees are separate.

Questions

FE-1 class FAQs

Anything else? Email [email protected].

What evening and time are the classes?

Classes are in the evening, Irish time. The exact evening for each subject is confirmed when the class reaches its enrolment level, based on what suits the people who registered.

Are the classes recorded?

No. Classes are live so you can ask questions while Rody teaches. Notes for each class go on Moodle. Our self-paced revision courses are the recorded option.

Who teaches the classes?

Rody O'Brien teaches every class.

How do payment and stopping work?

Pay €300 once for the whole course, or €35 a week in advance in blocks of four weeks and stop at the end of any block. Our FE-1 Terms set out cancellation and refunds.

Can I join after the course starts?

Yes. The whole-course price is open until the third class. After that, join on the weekly plan. Notes from the weeks you missed are added to Moodle once you have paid for your first block.

Do I have a cooling-off period?

Yes. When you sign up online you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. If you ask us to start tuition within those 14 days, you pay only for classes already delivered.

When do I apply to sit the FE-1?

You apply directly to the Law Society before its closing date, which is normally six to eight weeks before the first exam. Check the dates on the Law Society's FE-1 page.
